Students should write a thank you addressed to Mrs. Glover and Mrs. Fox for the invitation to the presentation dealing with immigration. Students should include at least one thing that they learned from the presentation. Advanced students would also include what they planned to do with this information or speak to how this information is related to their experience.

Students are expected to have their letters peer-reviewed with final drafts reviewed by staff. Letters will then be forwarded to administrators. A copy of the letter will be uploaded to each student's blog.

Self Made Man

Students need to post their thoughts on what is a "self-made man". Several websites and links have been provided below. Students will grade themselves and others based on the following:

1. Find or create one unique link related to a "self-made man" and include in post. Could be a URL, video, article, or any other document.

2. List at least 3 characteristics of a "self-made man"

3. Identification of a person who is considered to be a "self-made man"

4. What made this person a "self-made man"?

5. Do you consider yourself a "self-made man"? Why or why not?
